Hi All,

I added in the crontab the stop and start of a service, tomcat, each day
with the following lines:
10 6 * * * root /etc/init.d/tomcat stop
15 6 * * * root /etc/init.d/tomcat start

I see on /var/log/messages that the commands seem to run:
Feb 10 06:10:00 dl7 /USR/SBIN/CRON[8511]: (root) CMD ( /etc/init.d/tomcat
stop)
Feb 10 06:15:00 dl7 /USR/SBIN/CRON[8548]: (root) CMD ( /etc/init.d/tomcat
start)

But on the log file of tomcat, catalina.out, there is no trace of a
restart. If I use the same commands manually, I can see in catalina.out
tomcat stopping and restarting.

Any idea?

Thanks

Gaƫl
