Jos,

It looks like I have the software and links you mentioned but I'm still having the Default Plugin pop-up with the suggestion that I need to download and install the java-2 plugin.

Below I've included some "ls" listings to show what I current have ...

in /opt/mozilla/plugins ...

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 2003-06-26 17:50 libflashplayer.so -> /opt/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 60 2003-06-26 17:50 libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/lib/SunJava2/jre/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 18512 2002-09-11 14:40 libnullplugin.so

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 52 2003-06-26 17:50 nppdf.so -> /usr/X11R6/lib/Acrobat5/Browsers/intellinux/nppdf.so

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 2003-06-26 17:50 raclass.zip -> /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/raclass.zip

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 2003-06-26 17:50 rpnp.so -> /usr/lib/RealPlayer8/rpnp.so

in /usr/lib/SunJava2-1.3.1/jre/plugin/i386/ns600

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 335117 2002-09-11 02:26 libjavaplugin_oji.so

please note that in /usr/lib there is a sym-link named SunJava2 that links to SunJava2-1.3.1

I also have...

in /home/matts/.mozilla/plugins
-rwxr-xr-x 1 matts users 856 2004-03-08 09:41 flashplayer.xpt
-rwxr-xr-x 1 matts users 1470464 2004-03-08 09:41 libflashplayer.so

Could I need a symbolic link here in my user ??

Matt
