cs4236 sound card problem

Hi all,

So far I've been pleasantly surprised how relatively easy it was to get
9.1 to go on a bunch of my systems. However, the sound card issue on my
Dell Optiplex GX1 is still there. The CS4236B sound card is recognized
alright but it doesn't get configured. Using YaST (in both alsa and oss
incarnations) I get the error: "The kernel module snd-cs4236 for sound
support could not be loaded. This can be caused by incorrect module
parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters." The following modules
are present on my stock system:
/lib/modules/2.6.4-54.5-default/kernel/sound/isa/cs423x/snd-cs4236-lib.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.4-54.5-default/kernel/sound/isa/cs423x/snd-cs4236.ko

Trying to load them by hand wouldn't work either.
# modprobe snd-cs4236
FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.4-52-default/modules.dep: No such
file or directory

Any suggestions as to how to solve this problem would be greatly
appreciated.

Best regards, Alex.
