Yes I have and so did the partition module in YaST. I still cannot get
KDE to allow me to create the icons.

Yes and they will mount successfully.

It is a Western Digital hard drive that has 2 filesystems on it. One
NTFS and the other Reiser. It is the slave device on the first IDE
chain or /dev/hdb,
