Hello,
You can use Perl with DBI module.
MSSQL DB can be accessed using Sybase DBI driver.
In this case access to your DB would look like:

$dbh = DBI->connect(dbi:sybase:dbhost:dbname, user_name, password) ||
die "Can't connect: $DBI::errstr\n";

$sql="SELECT my_column from some_table";
$sth = $dbh->prepare($sql) || die "Can't execute: $DBI::errstr\n";
$sth->execute || die "Can't execute: $DBI::errstr\n";
while ($hash_ref=$sth->fetchrow_hashref) {

push @my_array, $hash_ref->{my_column}

}

$sth->finish;
$dbh->disconnect;

Regards.
Alex
