For writing simple C program this is sufficient. However for system
calls it's not.

SuSE includes the man pages which document the C library and system
calls. If you are serious about UNIX/Linux programming, then I would
recommend getting a copy of _Advanced Programming in the UNIX
Environment_ by W. Richard Stevens.
