Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to set /etc/X11/XF86Config or Yast 1 or 2 to set the
Euro sign in SuSE7.3 kernel 2.2.19?

Change all ISO 8859-1 entries to ISO 8859-15, you might have to do this
e.g. separately in Netscape, I don't think it is a kernel issue. KDE
control center does not reach all applications.
And set the konsole font to lat9w-16.psfu.gz (YaST, rc.config editor).
Once you are in this editore, change the locale to one of the ones
supporting the € sign, as listed below:

tux:~ # locale --all-locale | grep euro
ca_ES@euro
de_AT@euro
de_BE@euro
de_DE@euro
de_LU@euro
en_IE@euro
es_ES@euro
eu_ES@euro
fi_FI@euro
fr_BE@euro
fr_FR@euro
fr_LU@euro
ga_IE@euro
gl_ES@euro
it_IT@euro
nl_BE@euro
nl_NL@euro
pt_PT@euro
sv_FI@euro

I am using en_IE@euro btw, this does least mess up the rest of the
system being set to American English.

Cheers ... Wolfi
