I'm not sure this will work, but if you cp the file to lpr,
or perhaps directly to lp1, what happens? --doug

I've been trying to print an HTML file as plain text, but my lpr command
insists on converting it as an HTML document and prints only some boxes
labeled "[IMAGE]" (for the <IMG> tags) and the text output within the
<BODY> tags. Of course I want the HTML source to be printed instead, but
even if I save the file as whatever.txt, lpr still sees the HTML within and
attempts to convert it. The best way in which I've been able to print the
file as plain text is by mangling or removing the opening <BODY>, as <ODY>
or some such kludge.

So, how can I get lpr to ignore those tags and behave itself? I'm running
SuSE 7.1 with a Cannon S450.

Thanks again,
