It's possible, but you might have trouble with drives larger than 4.3 or 8.4
GB. It depends on what the BIOS supports.

On the other hand, I had a machine with a BIOS that choked with anything
larger than 8.4. As long as I only used Linux it was fine and Linux ignored
the problem.
