Make sure you have all of the latest updates to the rpms for Apache and its
modules. Check the suse site for updates.

Also make sure that you are not trying to load PHP3 and PHP4 at the same
time. Although this should work, I got the sort of error you described until
I removed PHP3 and just loaded PHP4.
