Here's what I did on SuSE 7.1:

root/etc/init.d# diff -c dhclient dhclient~
*** dhclient Thu Mar 8 15:26:15 2001
--- dhclient~ Fri Jan 19 13:13:40 2001
***************
*** 125,131 ****
# Use Option -D -H to set the host and domain name
startproc -t 5 -q /sbin/dhcpcd -D -H $DHCP_DEVS || return=$rc_failed
else
! startproc -t 5 -q /sbin/dhcpcd -R -d $DHCP_DEVS || return=$rc_failed
fi
fi
echo -e "$return"
--- 125,131 ----
# Use Option -D -H to set the host and domain name
startproc -t 5 -q /sbin/dhcpcd -D -H $DHCP_DEVS || return=$rc_failed
else
! startproc -t 5 -q /sbin/dhcpcd -d $DHCP_DEVS || return=$rc_failed
fi
fi
echo -e "$return"

The key is the -R option.

Jeffrey
