Here some comments from our developers about Greek support:

It looks like the greek fonts in the xf86 package were dropped with the
update to xf86 4.0 in SuSE 7.0. We should include them in the future again
either within an extra package or create them (misc/75dpi/100dpi bdf
fonts) during the build of xf86. BTW, I see iso8859-7 misc fonts in SuSE
7.x. Isn't iso8859-7 the same as Latin7, which is required for Greek

I checked whether we have greek fonts recently - I found that we currently
have the following Greek bitmap fonts:

Greek KDE 2 translations are in kde-i18n-el.rpm.

I have installed all 3 packages an tested it briefly.

The fonts from xf86.rpm are already enough for some basic stuff.

So I assume, we are all covered here.

This is another fine myth you've gotten me into.
