I can't reproduce a hang with the latest released version of libsatsolver. It calculates installs=18, upgrades=242, uninstalls=5 in about a second. Are you sure that you've installed all libzypp patches?

Well, it doesn't hang for me but needs about two minutes to calculate a result, which is much too slow.
I changed the code a bit, it's now much faster. The update will be in factory in a few days. A backport to 11.1 is much harder, though, because the code differs quite a bit.
