So either its more effort than expected or not sufficient interest in
dropping it (or both ;-)).
Maybe 'dropping SuSEconfig' can be turned into a community effort,
like 'faster booting' which was just announced on opensuse-factory.

We had better finally drop SuSEconfig from SUSE than adding the same
hack to several places in the system.
I couldn't agree more.
However, dropping SuSEconfig has been tried several times before in
the past and ... its still there.
