Same here.  I mean as long as they only generate provides out of these 
files, it's harmless but also useless.  Well, of course the dependencies 
sort of help that you can be really sure, that you have everything 
installed to use a random .la or .pc file.  But that still translates the 
unnecessarily large deps of them into rpm deps.
