Oh, I don't think any are unnecessary; they all look quite reasonable.
However, the number of dependencies surprised both me and the person who
filed a bug against my sat-solver based resolver :-)

How can i view/generate this dependency list for kernel-default ?
Its an interesting point if you want create small target images. Then every
single dependency counts ;) ;).
zypper --root /tmp/dir sa <factory_url> factory
zypper --root /tmp/dir in kernel-default
