Hi,
this is mostly for Schubi and Klaus I guess. Benji has pointed out that our usage of the term "uninstallable" is confusing: 'You use it to mean "Not installable" I think, but it sounds like "Can be uninstalled".'
I have grepped the zypp sources and it looks that mostly we mean Not installable, but in QueueItemUninstall.cc:69 it seems to be the other meaning. Since it is visible to the user in the detailed resolver problem listings, please disambiguate it, probably after 10.3.
No, it is correct. It is a "backout" in the verify modus : /* If we are in verify mode and this install is about to fail, don't let it happen... instead, we try to back out of the install by removing whatever it was that needed this. */ So it is a kind of "revert" which means that that item is "uninstallable". -- ******************************************************************************* Stefan Schubert SUSE LINUX GmbH - Maxfeldstrasse 5 - D-90409 Nuernberg, Germany e-mail: schubi@suse.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org
