I have been asked exactly the same question by Jano too. It seem I have
choosen a confusing command name.
I would prefer a "--xml-output" switch too, but "-xml-updates" command
lists updates and patches. That would result in calling zypper twice
(zypper pch --xml-output, zypper lu --xml-output).
Perhaps I should rename the command.
What about "xml-list-updates-patches"?
