Well, RPM packages could be extende to have them ... ;-)
No, seriously, when we're looking at openSUSE installation
repositories (online, CD, DVD), the metadata information
is actually a mixture of RPM and 'package database' information.
The package database is used to keep information about licenses,
translations (summary and description), etc. used to supplement
data the package provides.
Having (part of) the package database publically available
would help to keep track additional properties.
