Compositing isn't working at all. I've tried to enable compositing
through modification of the kwinrc file, but that didn't help. It showed
in the systems settings (gui) as not being usable but did not give a
reason why. I'll keep playing with it to see what I can find, but in
short that's the initial problem.
Also one other little problem. It shows as using only 262M of video memory. Not the 512M that I purchased the product to take advantage of.
