Looks like the problem may be with your Mesa (3D) driver - at first glance radeonhd seems to be working fine but you're getting the software rasterizer for 3D rather than the "r600" hardware accelerated 3d driver. There was a message in the xorg log saying that it couldn't find the 3D driver for your GPU - are you sure that you have mesa built with the r600 driver option ? -----Original Message----- From: Giovanni Fassina [mailto:fassinagio@interfree.it] Sent: Friday, March 26, 2010 1:47 PM To: radeonhd@opensuse.org Subject: [radeonhd] 0x9442:0x174B:0xE104: Sapphire ati radeon HD 4850 1Gb Hello, I write to you because in my Xorg.0.log I get the following message: If - and only if - your card does not work or does not work optimally please contact radeonhd@opensuse.org to help rectify this. Use the subject: 0x9442:0x174B:0xE104: <name of board> and *please* describe the problems you are seeing in your message. It seems that the driver doesn't enable the 3D acceleration, because an application like "flightgear" is so slow that it is practically frozen. Attached to this you will find the Xorg.0.log, the output of the glxinfo and the xorg.conf file. Thank you very much for your help.
