Ah, ok. Then the drm module in bsd is probably not recent enough. Since drm development has somehow been coupled to Linux :-((( the other OSes unsurprisingly lack quite a bit behind.

I'm using libdrm-2.4.12, which is the latest from the bsd ports. But i see that http://dri.freedesktop.org/libdrm/ has already a version 2.4.19, so i will try that on out then and see if it compiles and how it works out.
