http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23912 Summary: No HDMI audio with RV730 GPU on radeonhd Product: xorg Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) URL: http://phoronix.com/forums/showthread.php?p=91863#post91 863 OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/radeonhd AssignedTo: lverhaegen@suse.de ReportedBy: andrew@wasielewski.co.uk QAContact: xorg-team@lists.x.org Created an attachment (id=29492) --> (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=29492) Latest Xorg.0.log file I can't get HDMI audio from RV730 GPU (Asus Radeon HD 4670 PCI-e card) on radeonhd. O/S: Fedora 11 (2.6.30.5-43.fc11.x86_64) radeonhd package: 1.2.5 (xorg-x11-drv-radeonhd.x86_64 1.2.5-2.10.20090714git.fc11) Desktop: KDE 4.3 Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H HDMI audio works on same hardware config in MS Windows and with ATI fglrx driver. Also Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H motherboard has HD 3200 GPU integrated with the 780G chipset, though this is normally disabled in BIOS in favour of the HD 4670 PCI-e card. If I re-enable integrated graphics and connect to this HDMI port, I get sound when I play "Test" in the Multimedia - System Settings screen. I know radeonhd supports RV730 but can't find any definitive statement one way or other re: HDMI audio. Can only attach one file so have attached Xorg.0.log. xorg.conf is in Phoronix forum post in URI above.
