Sorry for that. You never should send such mails in a hurry...
I now attached my xorg.conf plus a photo made with my digital camera.
You can see a somewhat screwed up Ubuntu XDM-login screen, in the middle
of the screen is the mouse pointer which is shown correctly.

Hm. I guess you have to shoot the screen with a digital camera and send
that image, because this sounds rather... interesting.
