[radeonhd] Possible EDID regression?

Hi folks,
Playing with F11 (thus newer kernel/drm, X, xrandr) and the latest git
radeonhd. Plenty of wrinkles, not the least of which is that starting
compiz causes X to crash. With a nice backtrace from drm, so at least
I've some hope of formulating a useful bug report for a change (usually
such problems for me just kill the whole system dead).
Simple thing first though. In my two-monitor setup, DVI-D_1 is a native
1680x1050 LCD. EDID checks detect this mode with radeonhd under F10,
and with current radeon under F11. Current radeonhd/F11 does not,
although I can put a Modeline in manually and it works. Have tried
current git and one from 11 June, but have not yet walked it back
further to see if it's a radeonhd change alone or a bad interaction
between radeonhd and F11.
Am I doing something stupid, or should I file a bug?
Alec
