Did you run radeonhd right after the catalyst driver (or with the fglrx
kernel
modules loaded)?
In that case please make sure the fglrx modues don't get loaded on boot,
reboot and retry with radeonhd.

Cheers,
Egbert.

No, I removed everything from fglrx and catalyst before trying radeonhd. I
just removed 2GB of ram and radeonhd ver 1.2.5 runs fine now, but I would
appreciate radeonhd running with 4GB ram...

Chris

please try again with a clean boot without ever touching fglrx, somehow
unloading this module isn't enough, as i experienced with my x1400 some
time ago
