- From: bugzilla-daemon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

- Message-id: <bug-21137-248@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21137
Summary: timings out of range when switching back to text mode
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/radeonhd
AssignedTo: lverhaegen@xxxxxxx
ReportedBy: pht@xxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: xorg-team@xxxxxxxxxxx
radeonhd 1.2.5 (problem existed in 1.2.4 too)
graphics card: radeon 4850
monitor: hp p1230 (CRT 22") w/DVI to DSUB adapter
X boots up, I press ctrl-alt-f1, instead of going back to text mode, I'm
getting timings out of range at my monitor (>200hz vert.), when I press
ctrl-alt-f7 to get back to X, everything is okay. Same thing when switching to
text mode for other reasons (eg. reboot). Text mode is okay after booting until
X is started.
I use a custom mode
Mode "Custom1280x1024"
DotClock 244.00
HTimings 1280 1296 1440 1736
VTimings 1024 1025 1028 1075
EndMode
but i experience this bug with standard VESA modes as well.
