got it to work by re-starting X from a command prompt. Is there no easy
way to pass this parameter during normal system startup??? Tried
/etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc but this has no effect.
Anyway, log is attached, audio was not working due to something going
wrong during X startup and ALSA.
