I noticed some messages on the HDMI audio part for an RS690. I have also been experimenting with this feature and got a working setup after quite some experimenting and puzzling. I think the patch does not break support for R600 and up cards but no guarantee here. Right now audio works, however AC3 or DTS pass through is not working yet. Have to do some more puzzling here.
I've tested this patch on my 2 machines: 1) M82 with HDMI on DVI-D_1 2) RV635 with HDMI on DVI-I_1/digital and after reboot with HDMI on DVI-I_2/digital using Samsung 1080p TV and mplayer -vo alsa:hw=device=1.3. I tested that for 1920x1080, 1280x720 and 640x480. I didn't notice any regression and I'm quite happy with that :) RV635 was somehow little problematic earlier (http://lists.opensuse.org/radeonhd/2008-10/msg00153.html) On friday I'll able to test M82 again with AC3/DTS pass-through S/PDIF (current I don't have access to hardware suppporting that signal). -- Rafał Miłecki -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
