No, I have no idea how to change a BIOS image while it is running. Also,
different boards can have their fans connected differently, it wouldn't
even be clear whether this would work (actually, I doubt it).

I was wondering if it's possible to somehow 'inject' something in the
corresopnding command table to test if the fan control works.
We don't use the SpeedFanControl function table so far in the driver. So
the only possibility is that the BIOS itself calls it. But I don't think
speed control is implemented that way.
