OK, with the following patch:

The drm.ko/radeon.ko/r6xx-r7xx-branch of Radeon HD (after following the
instructions here: http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd:r6xx_r7xx_branch and applying
the patch), starts and works. However, I have problems with many fonts (like
disappearing lowercase-"b" - malformed uppercase "I") and many artifacts on the
screen. Like I said I have an AGP Radeon HD 2600 card, and can send you my
xorg.conf. It doesn't happen in the radeonhd-dri master branch. I'm still on
Mandriva Cooker.
