Both radeonhd and radeon have code to initialize the asic and set
modes using ATOMbios.  The source to the interpreter is also available
in the drivers.  Take a look at atombios.h for more info on the atom
tables and parameter space setup.

You'll probably have to use radeon at the moment on big endian as
there are some endian fixes needed in the driver and the parser that
haven't been ported to radeonhd yet.
