Guys, today I upgraded my Fedora 9 workstation and my X broke again. This patch has been available for half a year now - what else can I do, as a good open source citizen, to get this simple one line patch to land and be used ? I realize you're probably just as busy as I am, but really, how hard can this be ? Egbert, it's great if my card makes you want to rethink the logic, but in the meantime it'd be nice if the card would at least work out of the box. BTW, I updated the patch, still at the same URL from below. Please let me know, Thomas On Sat, 2008-07-19 at 12:10 +0200, Egbert Eich wrote:

Hi Luc,
I made some time to drag around computers and screens.
All output you asked for is available here: https://thomas.apestaart.org/thomas/trac/browser/patches/xf86-video-radeonhd
I've also included a patch that works for me.
Is there anything else you need from me ?
This is really in 'interesting' configuration:
You've got an HDMI port and a VGA port. The connector table lists the DAC2 and the TMDSA controller both being routed to the HDMI port (although HDMI doesn't handle analog signals). Instead the DAC2 signal is routed to the VGA connector. There it shares the DDC lien with the HDMI connector - but of course VGA doesn't do HPD. This of course is not covered by our logic. Let me rethink the logic.
Cheers, Egbert.
