Does the picture 'scroll' when you move the mouse to the edges?

OK, what resolution do you get on the TV?

Can you send a verbose log file for this case?
- ie where you first use the 15", then pull it off, then do xrandr again?

There is no load detection on your HDMI connector.
Everything there looks well - except that you get a black screen.
