"tight" is probably the understatement of the year.
If you have issues you should report them to bugzilla. Don't expect
multicard configuration issues to be resolved easily, though.

It's not very common any more to use multiple cards, given that all
modern cards have two outputs. Multicard setup in the Xserver is also
pretty fragile, and doesn't get much love from upstream developers (us
driver developers including).
