Hello, So I've been suffering under NVIDA's proprietary driver, and before that fglrx... The current system I have is driving me nuts as the cards lose IRQs and so the system display is frozen.... anyway all besides the point. I'm about ready to jump back to ATI video cards (and more importantly the OSS drivers), but wanted to know if the current driver can handle the setup/requirements I've got. I have no problems helping it get there as long as it is workable, and won't take a year to happen... So I have a non SLI/Crossfire setup with two video cards, 3 monitors. 2 x 19" LCDs and 1x22" Wide LCD. I don't care about 3D performance, but I do often watch movies / TV fullscreen on one of the monitors. I currently have one ATI X1650 Pro card which I think is a r5XX card. If I were to get a second one of these, what are my chances that this setup will work without crashing? One large desktop, with sometimes a movie fullscreen on one of them.... -- Nathanael d.
