Hi,

I just have upgraded the xorg server from 1.4.1 to 1.5 with mesa 7.2.
PAT is activated in the vanilla kernel 2.6.27-rc7. Since, the radeonhd
driver 1.2.1 doesn't work anymore but ati driver 6.9.0 does.
That's rather peculiar, I thought radeonhd was intended for an ATI HD
3870 video card not the ati driver one.

with a radeonhd module, Xorg now complains about,

(II) RADEONHD(0): Mapped IO at 0x7f47ddf7b000 (size 0x00010000)
(II) RADEONHD(0): Mapped FB at 0x7f47ca087000 (size 0x10000000)

Fatal server error:

and /proc/mtrr returns me,

reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size=2048MB: write-back, count=1

reg06: base=0xd0000000 (3328MB), size= 256MB: write-combining, count=2

I still have a warning from the kernel,

kernel: mtrr: 0xd0000000,0x10000000 overlaps existing 0xd0000000,0x800000

Is it a known withdraw ?
