The monitor does show the cloned output of PANEL and I can even select --above-of to have independent output, however I do get an error message and I cannot change the resolution of the screen. X debug output shows the connector as 'connected' initially: (II) RADEONHD(0): EDID data for HP w1907 (II) RADEONHD(0): Manufacturer: HWP Model: 26a2 Serial#: 2147483648 ... (II) RADEONHD(0): Output PANEL connected (II) RADEONHD(0): Output VGA_1 connected (II) RADEONHD(0): Output DVI-D_1 disconnected (II) RADEONHD(0): Output PANEL using initial mode 1024x768 (II) RADEONHD(0): Output VGA_1 using initial mode 1024x768 But then it gets confused: (II) RADEONHD(0): rhdRROutputDpms: Output VGA_1 : Off ?
