Due to regressions[1], the latest radeonhd in Fedora is from April, and thus a little outdated. Probably current radeonhd has better support for your hardware.
I am just now building a current snapshot RPM for Fedora which will appear in koji[2] soonish, and in the updates-testing[3] repository shortly.

I bought a new laptop yesterday which comes with a radeon HD 3650. I installed Fedora 9 and configured X to use radeonhd as a driver for the graphics card, it wasn't able, however, to recognize my card and it typically bails out to the console with a "No screens found" message. Attached you'll find a copy of my X.0.log and the result of lspci.
Please don't hesitate to ask me for any additional information. I just want to have a fully featured radeonhd as soon as possible! :)
