I've got an ATi Mobility Radeon x1270 on my laptop.  When I try to use
radeonhd 1.2.1, I get the proper image display, but all the display
lines where threre should be the text (including input) are covered
with random horizontal lines of random colours. As far as this is my
production system, I can't test the current snapshots of the radeonhd
driver.

As You see, I use fglrx. I tried xf86-video-ati 6.8.0 first, and it
was fine with 2D (no problem described above), but gave no Xvideo
interface, so I had to switch to ATi's blob.

P.S.: Are there any news about the approximate date of the next
radeonhd release? I would prefer to use opensource driver.
