Hi again,
I've just tried the latest git version (with the newly included RS780
commits), and it was a success! X is running.
The "RHDVGASave: VGA FB Offset" error is still reported, however, and I
have screen character artifacts in my virtual terminals. Maybe these are
related?
I've attached a -logverbose 7 version of Xorg.0.log, if you are interested.

FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/fonts/X11/misc" refcount is 2, should be 1;
fixing.
I've just tried the latest git version (with the newly included RS780
commits), and it was a success! X is running.
The "RHDVGASave: VGA FB Offset" error is still reported, however, and I
have screen character artifacts in my virtual terminals. Maybe these are
related?
I've attached a -logverbose 7 version of Xorg.0.log, if you are interested.

I'm able to switch between X and virtual consoles, but for X, the
display goes offline consistently. The motherboard has a VGA and an HDMI
