Just thought I'd mention, I installed Fedora 9 last week. With a default xorg.conf using the radeonhd driver the external DVI monitor still does not display. Manually entering a xorg.conf modeline and then running xrandr --output DVD-D_1 --auto (like I was doing before with Fedora 8) kicks the monitor on though.
I'd love for this to work automagically one day. Let me know if I can help.
Leif, i am not sure why this does or doesn't work with respect to RandR, but i finally added the electrical values needed for this hardware to work properly. Can you try the current git and find out whether this fixes the issue, if not, we will have to dig deeper and we will need a verbose log. Luc Verhaegen.
