No, it still doesn't work properly, but I think you're on the right track. I
can log in, start an xterm and change resolution with xrandr -s 4 (I didn't
realise that ctrl-alt-+/- doesn't work, so I hadn't tried this before), then I
get picture, but only with 1152x864 and some of the lower resolutions.
