Hello. I've used this board with the radeonhd driver in debian unstable since february IIRC. It works ok for my needs, and the only annoying thing has been that sometimes X comes up with a suboptimal resolution. (1280x768 instead of desired 1680x1050) I've not had time to investigate so I've just restarted X in such cases and forgot about it. Now, I took time to check the logs for any clue of why this is. The behaviour ocurrs at random AFAICS. Attached is a log diff between a "bad" start and a "good" start. It seems to me pretty obvious the "bad" starts are due to problem getting EDID data.
Hope this is helpful. Thank You.
Hi Henrik, Yes, your assumptions are correct. The information about the full resolution come from DDC. How often does this happen? Is it possible to trigger this once when you start X serveral times in a row? If so can you get me a log with '-logverbose 8'? This should contain all sorts of I2C status information. Thanks!
