Yes. I think so, too.
There is one remaining problem though without Option "HPD" "off".
The VT switch is broken. The screen enters power-save mode, when
trying to switch to text terminal. And it wakes up again when I
switch to X. That's why I still want to keep this option set.
Completely different issue, not related to HPD. Only use Option HPD if
you monitor isn't detected otherwise.
