Hrm, this is rather awkward. Why would the blanking bits influence this
behaviour? It is pretty much on/off, and shouldn't influence other
functionality of the CRTCs, as all it does is disable reading from memory and
sending out black instead.

Aljaz, are you absolutely 100% certain that it is this commit that is causing
the problems, because you have been claiming certainty about other commits
before. We do not want to go and bark up the wrong tree.
