Hello,

I apologize for the delay...I have been away for the holiday break.

I tried again with the latest from git.  It is the same result, just a
brief flicker, and then a black screen.  It seems the monitor is in
standby, it is powered on, but the backlight (lcd) is not on.  I can
not get the OSD to come up.  If I power cycle the monitor, the
backlight comes on, and there are some horizontal lines flickering
across the screen ocassionally.  It just looks like various lines of
pixels lighting up, it doesn't look like an image or desktop or
anything.  If I try to bring up the OSD at that point, the monitor
goes black again, with the backlight shutting off immediately, so I
can't even get into the OSD to see what resolution is reported.

I've attached the X log.
