Sorry for not posting the X log file sooner. I have a learning curve with Ubuntu. I did not know how to turn off the failsafeXServer mode. I finally took the time to research while I am on my vacation. I had to edit the /etc/gdm/gdm.conf and comment out the following line "#FailsafeXServer=/etc/gdm/failsafeXServerline." In any event, I cannot boot up the latest radeonhd version. I have attached the Xorg log file.

tgilber1 I was able to get the Radeon 2400 HD Pro working with the latest driver and adding the 'Option "HDP" "swap"' line in the device section of the xorg.conf file.
