This sounds like my problem too ;)

The problem for me and you too is, that your display is detected as a 18bit
display.

This is the first problem. The second problem is the dithering seams to be not
correct for 18bit.
I send a mail to the mailing list with a correcting patch. I think it looks
better with this patch. But the patch doesn't solve the detection of the panel
as 18bit.
