Are these stripes stable? That is, are they moving/flickering/whatever,The stripes flicker a little but they don't move.

This doesn't work with RandR at all. Shortcoming of the underlying
implementation in the server.
In fact I don't want/need RandR. I saw in the log that it wasn't activated.
Can I turn it off more completely ?
